LETR Executive Council Bylaws The ARIZONA LETR Executive Council shall consist of active or retired law enforcement personnel and shall be limited to no more than (2) two voting members per agency. The ARIZONA LETR liaison shall be an ex officio member. Other supportive community members, volunteers, and SOA personnel as approved by the Executive Council shall also be ex officio members. The members shall provide direction, support and coordination to further the ARIZONA LETR’s purpose throughout Arizona.

Council Appointed Position to the LETR Executive Council Each year the Council will be opening up the application process to appoint or re-appoint a person to serve on the LETR Executive Council. We invite any interested Law Enforcement Member or Special Olympics Program Representative to submit an application for consideration in this year’s process. The Executive Council is an important body that provides guidance, resources, and oversight to the overall Law Enforcement Torch Run movement. It is vital that qualified and enthusiastic individuals from both Law Enforcement and Special Olympics are involved at this organizational level. DUE DATE September 24, 2010 |

LETR Memorial Recognition Medal Torch Run Directors and Liaisons:
Please see the memo below sent on behalf of the Torch Run Executive Council.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Executive Council would like to announce that the Memorial Recognition Medal is now available to all our LETR Programs around the world. The LETR Executive Council felt that it would be appropriate for us to remember our fellow Officers who have been involved in the LETR and have made the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens that we serve.
This medal will be requested by the LETR Director and presented to the family of the officer by the Torch Run Director or his designee on behalf of the LETR Executive Council. There will be no cost to the LETR Program and the medal can be awarded retroactively.
